The Delray Beach Housing Authority and its partner, the Auburn Group, have undertaken a community driven, public/private  redevelopment initiative that is transforming the 15 obsolete and deteriorated apartment buildings of Carver Estates into a beautiful, well-connected, mixed income community.   This redevelopment will be accomplished within a larger goal to revitalize the Southwest neighborhood of Delray Beach.

On November 6, 2007, The DBHA submitted an application for a 2007 HOPE VI Grant.  The $20 Million HOPE VI funding infusion will leverage over $100 million in physical improvements, nearly $17 million in Community and Supportive Services and collateral investments of $90 Million to create a wide range of housing options to meet the needs of current residents, while attracting new young professionals, families, and seniors to settle in the area.
